  7. Workforce management systems will prove their worth when companies face administration

Workforce management systems can help administrators choose the best way to handle a company’s staff when the firm is forced to go into administration.

This unfortunate situation has recently affected Richardson Hotels Ltd and Fowey Hotel Ltd, which make up The Richardson Group of hotels. The group owns and operates five seaside venues across the South West.

The company operates venues in prominent seaside locations, including The Grand Hotel in Torquay, The Royal Beacon Hotel in Exmouth, The Falmouth Hotel in Falmouth, The Fowey Hotel in Fowey and The Metropole Hotel in Padstow.

All five hotels will continue to trade in administration.

Boughey, restructuring advisory partner at RSM, said: "We appreciate that there will be a significant degree of concern and uncertainty for staff, guests and suppliers as a result of the companies entering administration.

"I am pleased to confirm that we will continue to trade all five hotels while we assess how best to proceed and we will endeavour to update all stakeholders as soon as we can."

He added that he is "hopeful" that the "long-term future" of the hotels can be secured.

Any restructuring and operations’ streamlining processes are never good for employees and the respective companies’ HR departments, but Time & Attendance South West can help firms navigate easier through these troubled times.

Our systems are user-friendly, innovative and designed for the working environment.
