Visitor attraction Puxton Park, set in North Somerset, has revealed new plans for expansion, following which it might create up to 30 new jobs in the area, a news report on the matter has revealed. The attraction, set in the village of Hewish, has applied to the for planning permission with North Somerset Council to create two new buildings, whose main purpose will be to allow it to produce cheese and ice cream using milk coming from its own cows.

Supermarket chain Aldi has put forward plans to redevelop the site of a former Plymouth prison into a retail unit and student flats, a move that will also create 11 full time and 22 part time jobs. Set on the site of the former Greenbank Prison, the scheme would involve the demolition of the existing former laundry, which was built in the 1900s and rebuilt after World War II, and the conversion of the grade II-listed former Greenbank Prison.
